What do writers say about Joyce's workshops?
"You have given me a lot to absorb. I didn’t realize that, while you “can’t teach someone to write,” you can teach them how to construct a novel."
Stephanie
"It has been my pleasure to attend a few of your dynamic workshops over the past year. All I can say is WOW! The information, the individual attention, the atmosphere and the fellow writers in attendance all combine to make each one an extremely memorable and in some cases a life changing experience. I leave each one smarter, more electrically charged and more determined that – yes I can! Thanks for your talent, your patience, your encouragement and your faith."

INVITATION-ONLY CRITIQUE GROUPS
From a pool of writers who have either recently submitted work for her critique and/or who have participated in workshops, Joyce Sweeney hand-selects students to participate in one of her weekly, on-going workshop groups. These groups are focused on aiming participants for (traditional) publication. So far, under Joyce's mentor-ship, 38 of her students have obtained book contracts, publishing in such genres as main-stream fiction, young adult and middle-grade fiction, memoir, poetry, and mystery.
